Here at Bethel we aim to make disciples of Jesus (Matt. 28:19-20), and small groups are an essential piece in achieving this vision. Our group leaders are instrumental in creating environments where disciples are truly being made in small groups.
Group leaders are successful when they are growing and helping their groups grow in these 4 areas:
- God Lover – Surrendering our hearts and lives to Jesus continually (worship)
- Relationship Builder – Experiencing healthy relationships with other followers of Jesus (fellowship) and discovering and using their God-given gifts and abilities (ministry)
- Obedient Follower – Growing in our relationship with Jesus both cognitively and experientially (discipleship)
- World Influencer – Reaching out and sharing the good news of Jesus with unbelievers (evangelism)
